Collegeville, PA – On Saturday, April 5, the Patriots took on the Ursinus Track & Field Festival!
Lining up against strong D2 and D3 programs, the Patriots rose to the challenge, showcasing grit, determination, and a competitive spirit that stood tall throughout the meet. We saw some noteworthy individual performances, as listed below.
Highlights From This Meet:
On the distance side, Nathaniel Gale (JR) set a career PR in the 1500M, with a time of 4:25.70. This put him in 38th place out of 65 racers (3rd in his heat). After this, he went on to compete in the 800M where he put up a time of 2:09.21 (39th/66).
Then, in the 400M our top Patriot was Shane Keith (JR), who came across the line at 55.18 (44th/60; 2nd in his heat). Shortly after him, Samuel Gutierrez (FR) came in at 58.02.
In the 100M, our top three Patriots were Yaone Badisang (SR; 12.23), Shane Keith (JR; 12.24), and Samuel Gutierrez (FR; 12.37).
Our top performance in the 200M was also from Yaone Badisang with a time of 24.80 (63rd/80; 2nd in his heat).
On the field, Benjamin (Rhys) Schoonmaker put up distances of 9.24m in Shot Put and 20.61m in Discus.
On the women's side, Autumn Karampatsos (FR) set a new PR in the 200M with a time of 29.85, putting her in 33rd place out of 52 competitors.
