Patriots Sweep Doubleheader Against Baruch College
On February 27, 2025, the University of Valley Forge baseball team hosted Baruch College for a doubleheader and emerged victorious in both games, showcasing resilience and offensive prowess.​
Game 1: Valley Forge 17, Baruch 10
The Patriots started strong, scoring four runs in the first inning, highlighted by a two-RBI triple from C. Orndorff. Orndorff continued his impressive performance with another RBI triple in the second inning. Despite Baruch's efforts, including a four-run fourth inning, Valley Forge's offense remained relentless. B. Tunnell and J. Qualteria each homered in the fourth inning, extending the lead. The Patriots sealed the game with a five-run fifth inning, capitalizing on Baruch's defensive errors and timely hitting.
Game 2: Valley Forge 11, Baruch 10
The second game was a nail-biter, with both teams exchanging leads. Baruch jumped ahead with a four-run fourth inning, but Valley Forge responded in the fifth, scoring five runs to take the lead. Key contributions included a two-RBI double by C. Orndorff and a two-RBI double by J. Lopez. Baruch rallied in the seventh inning to tie the game at 10, but the Patriots displayed resilience. In the bottom of the seventh, J. Nieberlei's walk-off single clinched the victory for Valley Forge.
