UVF Patriots Fall Sports 2025 Recap

A Season of Historic Milestones and Unwavering Perseverance

The fall 2025 season marked a historic chapter for University of Valley Forge athletics, as five programs demonstrated remarkable growth, resilience, and an unshakable spirit of perseverance that defines Patriot athletics.


Men's Soccer: Making History

First Playoff Appearance in Program History

In a groundbreaking moment for UVF Men's Soccer, the Patriots secured their first-ever playoff berth in program history. This historic achievement came during their United East Championship first-round match on October 28, 2025, against Penn State Berks. Though the playoff journey ended with a hard-fought 2-4 loss, the significance of reaching the postseason cannot be overstated—this team broke barriers and set a new standard for the program.

  • Overall Record: 4-11-3 (.306)
  • Conference Record: 2-4-2 (.375)
  • Key Victories:
    • Dominated Penn State Schuylkill 7-0 in a commanding home performance
    • Secured crucial wins against Penn State Hazleton (3-0), Keystone College (1-0), and Gallaudet University (5-1)
    • Battled to three ties, including draws with University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, Penn State Brandywine, and Wilson College

Despite facing adversity throughout the season, the Patriots showed tremendous growth and determination, culminating in their historic playoff appearance that will inspire future generations of UVF soccer players.


Women's Volleyball: Most Wins Since 2017

A Resurgent Season

The UVF Women's Volleyball team turned in their most successful campaign since 2017, finishing with a 7-15 overall record. This marked a significant step forward for a program building momentum and competing with renewed confidence.

  • Seven victories – the most in eight years
  • Key Wins:
    • Swept Medgar Evers College twice (3-0 home and away)
    • Defeated Trinity Washington University 3-2 in a thrilling five-set comeback
    • Swept Rosemont College 3-0
    • Defeated York College (NY) twice (3-1 and 3-1)
    • Dominated Penn State Scranton 3-0 at home

The Patriots showed remarkable fighting spirit throughout the season, demonstrating steady improvement and competitive fire in every match. Despite facing tough conference competition, the team's seven wins represented genuine progress and a foundation to build upon.


Women's Soccer: Best Season Since 2019

Building on Success

The UVF Women's Soccer team posted their best season since 2019, finishing with four victories and showing significant improvement in a competitive conference landscape.

  • Conference Record: 1-7 (.125)
  • Memorable Victories:
    • Defeated Penn State Schuylkill 3-1 in the home opener
    • Secured a road win at Lehman College 2-1

    • Earned a thrilling 5-4 victory over Keystone College in an offensive showcase

The Patriots faced one of the toughest schedules in recent memory but never backed down from the challenge, consistently showing up ready to compete.


Men's Cross Country: Personal Records and Perseverance

Racing with Heart

The UVF Men's Cross Country team competed in eight meets throughout the fall, culminating in a 6th place finish at the United East Conference Championships and qualifying for the NCAA Metro Regionals. The season was defined by personal growth, improved times, and unwavering determination.

  • NCAA Metro Regionals Qualifier: Competed against regional competition (23rd of 25)
  • Notable Performances:
    • Strong early-season showing at Bryn Mawr College (4th of 6)
    • Competed in prestigious Paul Short Run at Lehigh University
    • Consistent improvement throughout the season

Individual Excellence

At the United East Conference Championships, Patriot runners demonstrated exceptional perseverance and personal achievement with numerous personal records, including standout performances from Paul Nadrowski (28:49.1), Nathaniel Gale (28:56.9), Javier Soto Rodriguez (32:42.7), Dawson Bell (35:19.9), Benjamin Schoonmaker (36:38.7), Everett Flower (38:37.0), and Cole Cherry (41:33.4).


Women's Cross Country: Racing Through Adversity

A Season of Resilience

The UVF Women's Cross Country team embodied resilience throughout their fall campaign, competing in eight meets and earning a 7th place finish at the United East Conference Championships before advancing to the NCAA Metro Regionals.

Season Highlights

  • United East Conference Championships: 7th of 9 teams
  • NCAA Metro Regionals Qualifier: Competed at the regional level (24th of 25)
  • Consistent Competition:
    • Competed in the prestigious Paul Short Run
    • Strong mid-season performance at Penn State Abington (6th of 10)
    • Battled through challenging courses and weather conditions

Individual Excellence

The Patriots showed remarkable grit at the United East Conference Championships, with several runners achieving personal bests. Sofia Troland led the team with a time of 26:06.7, followed by strong performances from Ava Mello (28:19.2), Madison Naples (32:31.4), Mona Koko (33:52.5), Grace Schmidheini (34:20.8), and Danalys Alvarado (41:35.5).

Both cross country programs demonstrated that success isn't just measured in placement, but in the personal records achieved, the mental toughness developed, and the determination to compete at the highest level.


The Spirit of Perseverance

What unified all five fall sports programs wasn't just the wins and losses recorded in the record books—it was the unwavering perseverance demonstrated by every athlete who wore the Patriot uniform.

Men's Soccer persevered through a challenging schedule to achieve something no team in program history had accomplished before. Women's Volleyball persevered through tough matches to earn their most wins in nearly a decade. Women's Soccer persevered against formidable opponents to post their best season in six years. Men's and Women's Cross Country persevered through grueling races and demanding training, pushing their bodies and minds to achieve personal records and compete at the regional level.

These athletes embodied the true meaning of perseverance: continuing to push forward, to improve, to compete with honor and intensity, regardless of the score or the circumstances. They showed up to practice every day, endured early morning runs and late-night training sessions, supported their teammates, represented their university with pride, and refused to give up on their goals. Whether it was the cross country runners grinding out another mile, the volleyball players diving for another ball, or the soccer players battling through the final whistle, every Patriot athlete demonstrated that perseverance isn't just about winning—it's about showing up, giving everything you have, and never backing down from a challenge.


Looking Ahead

As the fall season concludes, University of Valley Forge athletics has much to celebrate. Historic milestones were achieved, winning records were set, and most importantly, a culture of perseverance and excellence was reinforced. These Patriots have laid a strong foundation for future success, proving that with dedication, resilience, and unwavering determination, anything is possible.
