On August 30, 2024, University of Valley Forge women Volleyball team hosted their home
opener against Trinity Washington University women's volleyball team faced resulted in a 1-3
loss with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 20-25 & 25-21.

In a challenging match, two standout performers for Trinity Washington were Joselin Soriano-H.
and Jakiya Young. Soriano-H. led the team with 4 aces and an impressive 11 digs, showcasing
her defensive prowess. Young contributed across multiple categories, recording 2 kills, 6 assists,
and 7 digs, demonstrating her versatility on the court.

Two top performers for Valley Forge: Madelyn Oakley. She led the team in kills with 6, and
contributed significantly to digs with 8, the second highest on the team. Additionally, she had 2
assists.

Abigail Sumego excelled in assists, leading the team with 10. Sumego also contributed 4 kills
and 6 digs, showcasing her all-around play.

With this result, Valley forges current record stands at 0-1. The team will look to bounce back in
their next match as they travel to play Immaculata University.
