Men's Volleyball went up against Pratt Institute back on Saturday March 16th as part of the Lancaster Bible College Tri Match. The Patriots were able to rip this one away from Pratt as they took the win 3 sets to 1!

The first set was a tight one, going back and forth for much of it but Pratt was able to pull ahead late and took it by a score of 22-25. This group of Patriots loves to battle back however and they did just that! Down 3-8 early on in the second set, they battled back to score six unanswered points to take a 9-8 lead. Two points came off of Toby Harris kills and multiple errors by Pratt gave the lead away. Multiple kills by Nathan Whisman helped the Patriots close out the 2nd set as this one also came down to the wire. A late run in a 21-21 game helped pull it out to win the set 25-22. After two competitive sets to start the game, Valley Forge turned around and dominated set 3, winning by a score of 25-15. A balanced attack highlighted by a couple aces by Clay Confer and Toby Harris gave the Patriots the 2-1 set lead. Once again, Valley Forge came out and dominated set 4 but Pratt would not go down quietly as they went on a six point run down 22-13 to bring the score within 3. A clutch kill to pull the Patriots within two points of taking the game stopped the run, but Pratt tacked on two more to make the score 23-21. An attack error gave the Patriots another point and a Tyler Younger kill sealed the deal! 

Clay Confer and Toby Harris were tied for the lead in Kills (12), Tyler Younger led in Digs (16), and Paul Brown led in Assists (38).

The Patriots are at Home to go up against Eastern University on March 18th! Game time is 7 PM!
