The University of Valley Forge men's soccer team put forth a determined effort but fell 2-0 to Notre Dame (MD) in a hard-fought contest.
The Patriots turned up the intensity in the second half, doubling their shot attempts and creating key opportunities. While Notre Dame managed two first-half goals, the UVF defense settled in to keep them scoreless in the second half, showing resilience and focus.
Goalkeeper Juan Garcia-Flores was once again a steady presence, recording four saves and organizing the defense against 17 total shots from Notre Dame. The Patriots' second-half surge saw three shots on goal, a testament to their perseverance and fight to close the gap.
Though the scoreboard didn't reflect their effort, the Patriots demonstrated growth and heart. UVF is looking ahead, ready to build on this experience as they prepare for their next match.
Keep grinding, Patriots!
