The University of Valley Forge men's soccer team wrapped up their season with a spirited performance in a narrow 3-2 loss to Penn College at The Patriot Field.
Despite falling behind early, the Patriots displayed resilience and determination. Daniel Cardona put UVF on the board in the 18th minute with a well-placed shot, assisted by Nathan Kalapala, who was instrumental in orchestrating the offense.
The second half saw the Patriots come out firing, as Brandon Perez scored the equalizer just after the restart, with another assist from Kalapala. The goal showcased the team's ability to regroup and strike back against a tough opponent.
While Penn College netted a late winner in the 84th minute, the Patriots never let up, pressing forward and creating opportunities. The defense worked tirelessly, with goalkeeper Juan Garcia-Flores making key saves to keep the game within reach.
The match highlighted the growth, grit, and heart of the Patriots throughout the season. UVF finishes the year proud of their fight and ready to build on this foundation for next season.
