Mariah Matthews has been a key initiator of the Patriots offense, leading the team in scoring in each of the last three games. Coach
Gretchen LeVan comments that "She has become more confident and she is bought in. She has had to step up and handle the ball a lot more for us. Teams have tried face guarding her, but she has attacked and been more aggressive to the rim. That has really opened things up for her."
LeVan has seen a lot of desire from the Patriots recently, saying "I just see a fight in us, we want to get better every game. That has been encouraging as a coach. We have been down, we have been up, but we continue to compete with every passing game."Â
