St Mary's City, MD – The UVF Men's Basketball team opened their regular season play in the St. Mary's of Maryland Tournament. Game 1 featured a non-conference matchup with Ferrum College. The Patriots fell in Game 1 by a score of 82 to 64. The Patriots were led in this game by Jay White who posted 23 points on 8 field goals, 3 three pointers made and 4 free throws. EJ Smith II also contributed with 17 points of his own and 10 rebounds for the Patriots.

St Mary's City, MD – In the consolation game of the St. Mary's of Maryland Tournament the Patriots captured their first win of the regular season. The Men's Basketball team took down Brooklyn College 81 to 62.  The Patriots were led in this game by Jay White who posted 18 points on 7 field goals, 2 three pointers made and 2 free throws. White also posted 13 rebounds in this game. The Patriots were also led by Isaiah Reece who contributed 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, and 2 steals in the game.
