Hazleton, PA – Another active second-half for the Patriots would lead them to their first road victory over Penn State Hazleton. The Patriots handed the Nittany Lions their first loss of the season.
Hazleton (0-1), was able to get on the board first in the in the sixteenth minute, setting the score 1-0. The Lions continued to press with six additional shot attempts before the half.
The Patriots kicked off the second-half with determination, as they would knock on the door of opportunity with three consecutive shot attempts within the first ten minutes. However, the door would finally open for the Patriots as newcomer
Mathurin Allawai would score a penalty kick. The tally for Allawai would make it his fourth goal in just three games.
The remainder of the second was fairly evenly played with both teams sharing possession, corner kicks, and scoring opportunities. The Patriots would break the tie with the help of a corner from sophomore
Jimmy Lee, which would then deflect off a Hazleton player to extend the Patriots lead 2-1 at the 75
th minute. With the clock ticking away, the Lions would take a stab at four additional shot desperations, but keeper De'Andre Rodgers would make his final save of the evening at the 79
th minute.
Rogers made five saves on 14 shots from the Lions.

Devon Washington; he absolutely dominated the entire right side of the field both offensively and defensively, providing us with countless opportunities."
