South Abington Township, PA– The University of Valley Forge Women's Softball team played away against the Clarks Summit University Defenders in a double header. The Patriots lost both games with the Defenders winning 8-0 in the first game, and 10-2 in the second game.
Game 1
The Patriots fell to solid hitting and fielding from the Defenders, who were able to hold the Patriots to just 3 hits. Splitting a hit a piece,
Lindsay LeSueur, Tiffany Thorp, and
Cayleen Conrad each went .500 on the day. The win goes to Allison Glennon for the Defenders and the loss goes to
Lindsay LeSueur for the Patriots.
Game 2
The Patriots were able to rally back in game 2 and out hit the Defenders resulting in a good day batting for
Ashley
Depointe and Tiffany Thorpe. Unfortunately, the Patriots were out scored due to a few errors and a total of 11 walks. Molly Ayala earned the win for the Defenders, the loss goes to
Carlee Conrad for the Patriots.
