Washington, D.C.– The University of Valley Forge Women's Softball team played away in a double header against the Trinity Washington Tigers. The Patriots won both games, 24-1 in the first game, and 17-2 in the second game.
Game 1
The Patriots came out swinging in game one, earning 17 runs in the first two innings. This was in large part due to solid batting from
Lindsay LeSueur and
Kimberly Acosta.
Lindsay LeSueur went 5 for 5 at the plate and had 4 RBI's,
Kimberly Acosta went 5 for 4 at the plate and brought in 3 RBI's. This in combination with amazing pitching from
Jordyn Clarke, who struck out four batter and only gave up one run, led to a quick victory for the Patriots. The win goes to
Jordyn Clarke for the Patriots and the loss goes to Alyssa King for the Tigers.
Game 2
The Patriots stayed hot in game two, this time off the bats of
Abigail Foor,
Tiffany Tharp, and
Haven Mayhew. The trio stacked up 11 hits on 15 at bats, as well as 6 RBI's.
Jordyn Clarke pitched all five innings of the second game as well, and only allowed 2 runs facing 18 at bats. The win goes to
Jordyn Clarke for the Patriots, and the loss goes to Allison Barrera for the Tigers.

The Patriots will play Baruch College in a double header on Friday, April the 26th here at home.
