Phoenixville, PA – The University of Valley Forge Men's Soccer suffered a home defeat to the Bobcats of Bryant and Stratton Albany on Wednesday afternoon. Despite a Patriots penalty goal, the Bobcats overpowered the Patriots, claiming the 5-1 victory.
The Bobcats were able to secure an early 1-0 advantage, scoring in the just within the first two minutes of the match. Additionally, they were able to strike again in the 10
th and 24
th minute, changing the scoreboard to 3-0. However, the Patriots would attempt to put up a fight as they made an appearance on the board from a
Mathurin Allawai penalty score.
With a 3-1 benefit, the Bobcats did not lighten their pressure as they extended their lead to 4-1 on a score at 50:13. The Patriots would attempt another shot at an offensive run, but the Bobcats would pull away, securing their last goal of the match at 67:20 for a 5-1 final.
Bryant and Stratton posted a 28-14 shot benefit, while Valley Forge held a 6-3 on corners.
With the 5-1 loss, the Patriots conclude their season with a 5-11-1 overall record.
