Phoenixville, PA – The University of Valley Forge Women's Volleyball team claimed a victory on Senior Day. The Patriots dominated control throughout the match, earning a 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-20) victory over the Cougars of Medgar Evers College.

The Patriots made a statement at home during their last regular season match, only allowing the Cougars to stat 11 kills. The Patriots net pressure influenced 19 Cougar attacking errors, tallying an overall -.113 clip.

Valley Forge posted a 37-20-point advantage, collecting 24 kills on a .060 attacking percentage. As a team, the Patriots gathered 13 service aces, 24 assists, and 41 digs. The Patriots were led by Kaitlyn Hess who composed 8 kills, 10 assists, and an impressive 7 service aces. Defensively, freshman libero Melanie-Ann Torres poised together 14 digs, followed by Kaitlyn Hess (7), and Jasmine Vargas (7).

"With it being Senior Day the energy was high with excitement," shared head coach Jessica Rink. "The team's chemistry gets better with every game. Ending the regular season on a four game winning streak has allowed us to create momentum going into the conference tournament."

Next, the Patriots are set to host the ACAA Women's Volleyball Tournament on November 2^nd and 3^rd. Valley Forge will face the #1 seed UC Santa Cruz on Saturday at 2 p.m.
