Phoenixville, PA – The University of Valley Forge Women's Basketball team played host to the Griffins of Gwynedd Mercy University on Monday evening. The Griffins took down Valley Forge by a final score of 77-45.
Offensively, UVF was led by
Kaitlyn Hess who was 4 of 6 from behind the three-point line. Hess scored a team high 14 points while also grabbing 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season.
Cayleen Conrad added 12 points while
Carlee Conrad finished the contest with 10 points.
Playing short-handed, the Patriots used every ounce of energy they had. The Griffins came into the game with a deep bench and it paid off. In the total, Gwynedd Mercy University scored 43 points off of the bench and also capitalized in points off of turnovers with 17 to 6. The Griffins grabbed the lead early and went on to take down Valley Forge by a final score of 77-45.
