Game Recap Men's Baseball April 14, 2018
Front Royal, VA- The University of Valley Forge men's baseball team (3-21) traveled to Virginia to take on the Christendom College Crusaders, dropping both games of a double header.
Game 1- Patriots 4, Crusaders 17
Game Summary- The Crusaders scored runs in the bottom half of the 1
st and 2
nd innings to take a 3-0 lead. The offense continued as they knocked in eight runs in the bottom of the third. The Patriots' defense struggled to help Zach Nunnery on the mound by committing six errors on defense.  Crusaders' Heisler went seven innings on the mound, gave up four runs and struck out on four occasions. The Patriots sparked some offense toward the back end of the game, but the deficit was too large to overcome.
Game 2- Patriots 5, Crusaders 15
Game Summary- After an inning and a half, the teams were tied at four. However, the Crusaders scored four runs in the bottom of the second. In response, Bryan Reyes knocked in two runs with a single and
Cody Rak knocked in a run with a groundout. However, the Crusaders obtained five runs in the bottom of the sixth securing the game.

What's next- Valley Forge plays their next game on Wednesday, April 18 against Central Pennsylvania College, and Christendom plays Friday, April 20 at Central Pennsylvania
