BloodHounds Take Two From Patriots

Phoenixville, PA - The University of Valley Forge Baseball team played host to the BloodHounds of John Jay College on Tuesday afternoon.  The Patriots lost both games by scores of 26-5 and 24-1.

Game 1
John Jay scored a run in the top of the first inning to make the score 1-0.  Valley Forge battled back in the bottom half of the inning.  The Patriots tied the game when Jeffery Espinal singled through the left side of the infield to score James Jackson.  UVF picked up two more runs thanks to John Jay fielding errors and took a 3-1 lead after one inning of play.

This afternoon however, belonged to the BloodHounds.  John Jay went on to score 25 runs over the next 6 innings to come away with a game one victory by a final score of 26-5.

Game 2
Game two was much like game one.  John Jay jumped on the scoreboard early and often.  The Hounds put 6 runs on the board in the top of first inning and then put together a monster top of the third.  John Jay scored 16 runs on 12 hits in the third inning alone.  That was enough to put the Patriots away for good.  John Jay College took game 2 by a final score of 24-1.

Up Next
