Phoenixville, PA – The University of Valley Forge Men's Soccer team played host to the Lions of Bryn Athyn College on Tuesday afternoon. UVF lost by a final of 3-0.
The Patriots had a chance to grab an early first half lead when
Billy Peron broke through the Lion defense. Peron's shot went just wide of the goal. Sometimes the ball just doesn't bounce the way you want it to. This was the case on a Bryn Athyn corner. Attempting to clear the corner, the UVF defense deflected a ball that went into their own goal. The Bryn Athyn goal gave them an early 1-0 lead. In the 21
st minute, The Lion's Martin Dempster scored his first goal of the game to give Bryn Athyn a 2-0 advantage. Bryn Athyn went on to pick up another goal in the second half to complete the scoring on the afternoon. UVF lost by a final score of 3-0.
