Phoenixville, PA - The University of Valley Women's Soccer team concluded its regular season schedule by hosting John Jay College on Saturday afternoon. The Bloodhounds shutout the Patriots by a final score of 3-0.
It was a defensive battle for the first 20 minutes. The Patriots held the Bloodhounds scoreless until the John Jay's Kimerbly Robledo broke the scoreless tie. Jaime Bilotti found Robledo for the score to put John Jay up 1-0. Neither team would be able to score the rest of the way through the first half.
The second half belonged to John Jay. The Bloodhounds made the most of their opportunities. Goals by Mary Jo Anzano and Kimerly Robledo capped off the scoring for the afternoon.
Taniyah Faison did her best to keep the Patriots in the game. Faison had 10 saves during the contest but it wasn't enough as the Patriots fell by a final score of 3-0.
