Phoenixville, PA – The University of Valley Forge Women's Volleyball team played host to the Lions of The Kings College (NY) on Senior Day. The Patriots (15-7) went 25-10, 25-16 and 25-15 against the Lions (2-6).
Both team traded points early in the match. Behind the serving of
Megan Bard, the Patriots went on a 9-1 run to open up a 14-5 lead. The Patriots went on to win the first set in convincing fashion by a score of 25-10.
UVF quickly erased an early TKC 3 point lead. Late in the set, the Patriots started to put a big run together. Valley Forge used a 10-2 scoring run to win set #2 by score of 25-16.
As the third set began, The Patriots made sure there would not be a fourth. UVF jumped out to a 7-1 lead and wouldn't look back as they finished off the Lions in the final set 25-15.
A Look at the Numbers
On offense, Junior
Lindsay LeSueur led the way with 9 kills while freshmen
Megan Bard added 8. Sophomore setter
Kaitlyn Hess dished out 22 assists.
Defensively, the Patriots were led by Senior Libero
Brittany Eberly who had 27 digs on the afternoon. UVF totaled 79 digs throughout the 3 set match.

The Patriots will be back on the court on Tuesday, October 17
th when they travel to Brooklyn, NY to take on Medgar Evers College. First serve is set for 7:00 pm.
