SUMMERDALE, PA- The Patriots traveled to Summerdale, PA Wednesday night, for a 5pm double-header versus the Knights of Central Penn College.
GAME 1
In game 1, the Patriots held the Knights to 7 runs. This was the least amount of runs they have given up all season. Unfortunately, the Patriots bats were silent, amounting 0 runs on only 1 hit for your final score 7-0.
The Knights jumped out early scoring 2 in the 1
st and 1 in the 2
nd for the early 3-0 lead. Their big inning came in the bottom of the 5
th when they scored 4 runs on only 2 hits, and 2 Patriots errors.
The Patriots only hit came in the 4
th, when
Shelton Gray hit a 2 out single to left. He would be left stranded. The Patriots only other base runner was a
Ryon McGinness walk in the 7
th.
James Jackson took the loss on the mound going 4.2 innings walking 2 and striking out 1. 4 of the 7 runs were earned.
Eddy Palacio pitched 1.1 innings in relief.

GAME 2
The Patriots season long fielding woes came back for game two, this time committing 6 errors. They also gave up the big inning, allowing the Knights to score 6 runs in the 4
th and then another 6 in the 5
th as they went on for an 18-2 victory.
Daniel Lyons and
Eddy Palacio each went 2-3 at the plate. That was 4 of the Patriots 8 hits on the night.
Eddy Palacio also picked up his first career RBI.
Shelton Gray added the other RBI.
David CastroWard pitched 1 inning in relief allowing 0 earned runs.

The Patriots will return to action on Sunday, as they host Summit University in a double-header. First pitch is scheduled for 1PM.
