LANCASTER, PA- The Patriots traveled to Lancaster on Monday, for a 1pm double-header versus the 10-12 Chargers of Lancaster Bible College. In their previous meeting down in Myrtle Beach, SC, the Chargers won in a lop-sided victory.
GAME 1
In the top of the 1
st James Jackson led off the game by drawing a walk. He would then steal second. That's as far as he would get as he was left stranded on 2
nd. In the Chargers bottom half of the inning, they started right where they left off as they led off with a solo homerun. They would tally 6 more to jump out to a 7-0 lead after 1.
Jumping to the 3
rd, the Patriots trailed 9-0, but the bats came to life at least for a while. With 1 out,
Eddy Palacio singled.
James Jackson followed with a walk.
Waldo Odens Jr. would then single to load the bases.
Shelton Gray then stepped to the plate, and hit a double to center scoring Palacio and Jackson to make the game 9-2. That was all the scoring the Patriots would do.
The Chargers would tack on 14 more runs for the 23-2 victory.
Shelton Gray led the team going 3-4 at the plate with both of the teams RBIs. He also recorded 2 outs on the mound allowing only 1 hit, and giving up 0 runs.

GAME 2
The Chargers of Lancaster Bible College scored a run in every inning in route to a 15-0 victory in game two. There biggest inning came in the first when they scored 4 which was capped by a 3 run homer.
The Patriots only hit would come in the 4
th, when
James Jackson singled.
Jon Manning took the loss on the mound going 5 innings striking out 8 but walking 5. David CastoWard threw 1 inning of relief giving up 1 run on 1 hit.

The Patriots will return to action on Wednesday, when they travel to face Central Penn College for a night double-header starting at 5pm.
