PHOENIXVILLE, PA-The Patriots returned home Saturday night, after going 0-6 in there Spring Break Trip. They played 3 games in Myrtle Beach, SC at the Ripken Experience, and then traveled to Knoxville, TN for a 3 game series with Johnson University.
The Patriots struggled on both sides of the field. Their most productive game at the plate came vs. Penn College when they recorded a season high 8 hits.
Waldo Odens Jr. had 3 of those 8.
For the trip,
Waldo Odens Jr. led the team with 7 hits in the 6 games. Freshmen
James Jackson and and
David CastroWard weren't far behind with 5.
6 of the 10 Patriots player's logged innings on the trip, including the pitching debut of
Jonathan Canoy. Canoy did not see any action on the hill in the Patriots opening series vs. Gallaudet.
Head Coach
Mark Norton said,
"although the outcomes of the games were far from what we wanted, it was good to see the team come together in other ways. We have very young team, and the experience of playing these games will help us down the road."
The Patriots will look to rebound from the trip as they compete the rest of this season.
