BOSTON, MA- Coming off a lopsided loss at the hands of undefeated Lancaster Bible College, the Patriots traveled to Boston to take on host Fisher College Friday night. The Falcons led by Tyler Shular's 39 points would cruise to a 103-64 victory.
The Patriots would get on the board first, as DeAndre Gadsden hit a jumper after a block by
Sean Word on the other end. 3 minutes in the Falcons lead was only 3, but that would drastically change. Just over the half way mark at 8:13, the Falcons gained their largest lead of the half, 20, when Kyle Holmes hit a 3 pointer. The closest the Patriots would get was at the 1:50 mark when
Jerome Staley hit both of his free throws cutting the lead to 11. At the half the score was 47-33 in favor of the Falcons.
The Patriots came out in the second half, and would continue to struggle against a good Fisher team. The Falcons led by as many as 41 with 5:02 left in the game. They would win by 39 points, the same amount that leading scorer Tyler Shular put up. Malik Wilson would chip in 15 for the Falcons.
For the Patriots,
Bryan Pettit was the leading scorer with 11.
Sean Word had 10 and
Devin Williams had 9.
The Patriots now have lost their last two games giving up 100 or more points. They fell to 3-14 on the season. They have no time to rest, as they are back in action Saturday, January 30
