Box Score 01/07/2016 vs. Central Christian College of the BibleMOORE, OK- The Patriots looked to build on a 3-3 record as they opened up the Hudiburg Tip-Off Classic with Central Christian College of the Bible.
Jhanel Brown would enter the game recording a double-double in five consecutive games.
In the first quarter, Central Christian came out shooting strong starting the game on an 11-4 run. Taylor Cunningham led the way and after 1 it was 23-15.
In the second quarter, the Patriots narrowed the lead down to 3, but Cunningham and the Saints would build that back up, this time leading by 14, 41-27 at the half.
In the third and fourth quarters, we saw much of the same. Central Christian would go on for the 78-66 victory. Taylor Cunningham would finish the game with 30 points going 11-19 from the field and 3-4 from beyond the arc.
For the Patriots,
Jhanel Brown kept her streak alive as she scored 15 points and brought in 12 rebounds, recording her sixth straight game with a double-double.
Mikala Brinson had 17 points, and
Taniyah Faison had 15.
01/08/2016 vs. #9 Arlington Baptist CollegeMOORE, OK-On day two of the Classic, the Patriots would go up against a tough Arlington Baptist College.
This would be a high scoring matchup, as both teams tallied 76 points in just the first quarter.
After one, Arlington would lead 47-29.
In the second quarter it was more of Arlington's offense as they continued to build their lead. At the half they would lead 82-38.
After half time, Arlington continued their route, putting up 130 points, and winning by 62. The final was 130-62. Jade Johnson scored 36, and Morgan Hale had 25. 5 others also would score in double digits for Arlington.
For the Patriots,
Jhanel Brown extended her double-double streak to 7 games scoring 14 points, and grabbing 17 rebounds.
Mikala Brinson led all Patriot scorers with 16.
The loss pushes the Patriots to 3-5 overall.
01/09/2016 vs. #1 Hillsdale Free Will Baptist CollegeMOORE, OK- In their last game in Oklahoma, UVF would have a rematch from November, as they took on the Saints of Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College. In that meeting, the Saints won 86-52.
Hillsdale would jump out to a huge early lead and never look back. After the first quarter they led 34-8. After the second quarter it was 55-16. The Patriots could not get anything going. They would go on to lose 87-44.
Eleven different Saints players would score in the game. Sadie Perry led all with 17. As a team they shot 58% from the field and 40% from behind the arc.

Jhanel Brown's double-double streak was snapped at 7 games, as she was held to 8 points and only 6 rebounds.
Mikala Brinson,
Bailey Mayforth, and
Ali Hollingshead each scored 10 points.They fall to 3-6 on the season.
The Patriots return to action on Friday, January 15th, as they host Mid-Atlantic Christian Unversity. Tip-off is set for 7:00PM.
