CLARKS SUMMIT, PA - The University of Valley Forge Women's Soccer was clearly outmatched on Saturday afternoon when they traveled to take on Summit University. The Patriots, managing just three shots all game, lost by a final score of 11-0.
After a scorless first 10 minutes, the Defenders scored four goals in six minutes and took a commanding first half lead. The Patriots, although overwhelmed, kept the host school off the score sheet for the remainder of the first half. However, the Defenders kept their foot on the throttle in the second half. Defenders' Makenzi Kaiser and Emily Howell each recorded a hat trick in the contest. The final score was 11-0.
The Patriots will continue their long stream of away games. Their sixth straight road contest to start the season will be on Tuesday, September 15th at Gallaudet University.
