PHOENIXVILLE, PA - The University of Valley Forge Women's Volleyball team lost to Bryn Athyn on Thursday evening in straight sets (25-9. 25-11, 25-16).
In front of a loud home crowd, the Patriots were unable to get anything going against the visiting Lions. Bryn Athyn's Taylor Davis was near-impossible to stop all night long as the 6' 1" junior finiished with 12 kills and 2 blocks. The Patriots did what they could to slow them down, but strong defense and aggressive attacking from the Lions kept them at a distance. They also were serving extremely well as the Lions had 14 aces on the evening.
Patriots'
Megan Freed led the attack for the Patriots, finishing with 4 kills and 1 block. Freshman
Lindsay LeSueur led the team in digs with 7.Â
The Patriots will look to rebound on Tuesday, September 15th in a home match against Rosemont College at 7pm.
