WILMINGTON, DE - The University of Valley Forge Baseball Team went up against Wesley College on Saturday, April 25th. After a closely contested game, Wesley pulled away late and won by a final score of 13-2.
Seniors'
Joshua Strohm and
Jared Boothman led the Patriots offensively, each driving in a run and going 2 for 4 from the plate. Freshman
Matthew Buckery also went 2 for 4 and scored once.
First year player
Jeffrey Thrappas pitched a strong 8-innings, giving up only 5 earned runs.
The Patriots were only out-hit 13 to 9, but unfortunately their 3 defensive errors kept them from staying within striking distance.
They close out the season on Tuesday, April 28th at Delware Valley University.
