PHOENIXVILLE, PA- In the first round of the Infinito's Tip-Off Classic, the UVF Patriots would hold on to beat the Knights of Kentucky Christian University 76-69.

The Patriots would jump out to a lead, but would slowly watch that diminish by the half. They would maintain only a 3 point lead, 37-34.

The Knights would continue to fight back, and actually take the lead later in the game. The Patriots would rally back, and seal the game with some clutch free throws down the stretch.

For the Patriots, Sean Word would be the leading scorer with 14 points. Devin Williams was the only other Patriot in double digits with 11.

For the Knights Hayden Dunn had 15 points and Dylan Genung had 14.

UVF improves to 1-2 on the year while KCU drops to 1-5.

Coach Jon Mack said, "Today we had to grind it out against a good team. We are very fortunate to be on the winning end today. Our free throws at the end were key to give us some separation. We have to do a better job executing tomorrow against a good basketball team in #1 Hillsdale."

The Patriots will return to action tomorrow, November 20^th, as they take on the #1 ranked Saints of Hillsdale Free Will Baptist. Tip-off is set for 8:00PM.
