PHOENIXVILLE, PA- Penn State Brandywine traveled to the University of Valley Forge on Tuesday for a 3:30PM start.

The Patriots came out early, when Kelsey Morrison scored in the 6th minute to give them the 1-0 lead. The Patriots held this lead for 21 minutes before Ami Iannello knotted the game at 1 scoring in the 27th minute. Olivia Encarnacion would then score for the Nittany Lions in the 36th minute giving them the 2-1 lead at the half.

In the second half, Encarnacion would score her second goal of the game in the 52nd minute extending the Nittany Lion lead to 3-1. 6 minutes later it was again Kelsey Morrison who scored her second goal of the game pulling the Patriots to within 1. The Nittany Lions would lengthen their lead with a goal by Ami Iannello, her 2nd of the game, in the 73rd minute. Minutes later,  Olivia Encarnacion scored her 3rd goal of the game to complete the hat trick in the 79th minute. That made the final 5-2 in favor of the Nittany Lions of Penn State Brandywine.

Makenzi Maun had 11 saves for the Patriots in the loss.

The Patriots will return to action on Thursday, October 15th, when they travel to Penn State Schuylkill. Game time is set for 4:00PM.
