PHOENIXVILLE, PA- The men's basketball team held a commanding lead from start to finish in their first game of the week, Tuesday, February 18. The men hosted The King's College Lions and defeated them with an impressive point advantage, 93-42.
It started off a bit slow for both teams, as the Patriots and Lions struggled to find the bottom of the basket. Then, with 12:43 displayed on the board, the men hit their stride, gliding into a double-digit lead and cruising to clear victory. The nearly 30 point advantage in the second half allowed the Patriots bench to see some long awaited playing time and it was well worth it, as 57 of the Patriots 93 points came from the bench.
It was also one of the most unified games for the Patriots, as they recorded a season high in assists with 19. Six men scored in the double-digits.
Terrance Reese recorded his first season double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Antonio Malone and
Jonathan Kinyanjui notched 10 points apiece, while
Kevin Mack and
Lance Harris notched 11 points each.
Jean LeBlanc scored 12 points on the night with three steals.
The Patriots celebrate senior day and one of two final home games, Saturday, February 22 at 3pm. The men play host to Central Penn College. The day will also be played as the Patriots annual Coaches vs. Cancer event.
