Middletown, PA – The Valley Forge Christian College men's soccer team was defeated by Penn State Harrisburg on the road on Thursday, Sept. 5, by a score of 9-0, with all nine goals coming in the first half.
The Patriots had no answers for the Penn State Harrisburg attack as seven different Lions combined for nine goals. The Patriots' lack of roster depth definitely played a factor, but Penn State Harrisburg clearly boasted a strong team.
With the victory, Penn State Harrisburg improved their early season record to 1-1, while the Patriots drop to 1-2.
The Patriots look to turn the page quickly, as they will travel to Chestertown, Maryland on Saturday, Sept. 7, to compete against Washington College. Kick-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
