WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Valley Forge Christian College women's softball team still searches for their first season win after falling to the Gallaudet University Bison in a double-header match-up, 0-9 in game one and 0-8 in game two.
The lady Patriots struggled to connect offensively in both games, as they were able to only achieve two hits between the two games. One highlight of the day came from shortstop
Amanda McGinness. McGinness played solid defense, retiring 12 batters on the day, including a precise throw from second base to home, throwing out the runner, preventing her from scoring.
Sarah Brugere went 1-for-3 at the plate, while
Amanda Reich went 1-for-2.
The Patriots look to bounce back in their next game. The women take a week to practice before traveling to Dover, Del. to play against Wesley College. The game is set to start at 3pm.
Go Patriots!
