PHOENIXVILLE, PA - The VFCC Lady Patriots women's basketball team was denied their chance at a season long four game winning streak on Monday night (Feb. 13). The Lady Patriots dropped a 61-55 loss to the visiting Ravens of Rosemont College. This drops the Lady Patriots season record to 12-16, and with just two regular season games remaining, foils their effort to finish with a regular season winning record for the third consecutive year.

After playing to a 9-9 tie in the first five minutes of play, the Ravens began to pull away, leading by as many as eight points in the first half. Valley Forge found themselves in just a four point deficit at the halftime break, but were never able to get enough momentum to overtake Rosemont.
Leading the Lady Patriots in their loss was junior
Amanda Reich, who finished with 21 points scored off of an 8-for-17 shooting effort including hitting 3-of-5 from beyond the arc.
Junior
Morgan Godwin finished with 13 points, also dropping 3 three-pointers.
Junior
Amanda Compton finished with 12 rebounds in addition to her 7 points scored.

Ashley Montecchio finished with 13 points of her own for the Ravens. Valley Forge was not able to sin the boards tonight as Coyne was accompanied by Vanessa Johnson who finished with 12 rebounds.
Up next for the Lady Patriots will be their last home game of the 2011-2012 season, when they host Trinity University on Friday night (Feb. 17). Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
During Friday night's game, the athletic department will be recognizing the Lady Patriots' graduating seniors.
