PHOENIXVILLE, PA - The VFCC women's basketball team dropped their third straight loss, and sixth in their last seven games, to traveling, Mount Aloysius College (Cresson, PA), on Wednesday night (Feb. 1) by a final score of 65-56. The Lady Mounties jumped out to a 10-0 lead before Valley Forge's
Keionna Jackson bucketed a tough layup nearly 7:00 into the game. Both teams would trade baskets for much of the first half, as Mt. Aloysius carried that ten point lead into halftime. The Lady Mounties quickly extended their lead in the second half to lead by as many as sixteen points, as the Lady Patriots saw a single digit deficit just once in the half. With tonight's loss, the Lady Patriots drop to 9-15 on the season and must win out for their chance at a .500 season.
In the loss, the Lady Patriots were led by
Amanda Reich who got back to her scoring ways and finished with a team high 13 points scored and 7 rebounds.
Junior
Amanda Compton finished with a game high 13 rebounds, and added 8 points to her season tally.
Junior

Leading the Lady Mounties to victory was Kaylee Keagy, who scored 12 of her game high 19 points in the first half.
The road to victory does not get any easier for the Lady Patriots as they next host the Lady Profs of Rowan University (8-13) on Tuesday (Feb. 7), before hosting NCCAA II East Region foe, Philadelphia Biblical University (4-16) on Thursday (Feb. 9). The Lady Patriots lost a heartbreaker to PBU earlier this season, and are looking to secure the third seed in the NCCAA II East Region playoffs with a win.
