LANGHORNE, PA - The Valley Forge Christian College women's basketball team defeated Philadelphia Biblical University on the road, 64-53.
The Lady Patriots held just a 2-point advantage at the half (27-25), but were able to put away the Lady Crimson Eagles in the second stanza.
Despite being outrebounded (40-29), the Lady Patriots were able to counter by scoring out of their defense. The Lady Patriots were able to convert PBU's 23 turnovers into 37 points. In addition, Valley Forge caught fire from the perimeter, draining 11 three-pointers.
Morgan Godwin paced the Lady Patriots with 17 points, including a 5-for-8 showing from the perimeter.
Senior
Charla Benton garnered 12 points.
Sophomore
Amanda Compton collected 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Shawneal McKeither led the team in assists (6).
Amanda Reich contributed with three assists and three steals.
Talaya Woodall tacked on three steals.
With the victory, the Lady Patriots improved to 14-10.
