WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Lady Patriots earned their fourth victory of the season on Saturday (Dec. 4), when they took on Trinity Washington University.
The Valley Forge women seemed to have the upper hand from the start, as they would lead, 35-20, at the half.
A decent overall shooting performance helped the Lady Patriots, helped them secure the 58-53 road victory. The women shot 50% (24-48) from the field, compared to the 31% (20-64) that their opponents shot.
Sophomore
Amanda Reich (Milton, PA, Milton High School) led the Lady Patriot attack with 11 points and six rebounds. Reich was 4-of-7 from the field.
Sophomore
Amanda Compton (Newark, DE, Elkton Christian Academy) earned 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting. Compton finished with a team-high seven rebounds.
Senior
Charla Benton (Milford, DE, Greenwood Mennonite School) shot 3-of-5 from the perimeter for nine points. Benton also tallied six rebounds.
Freshman
Shawneal McKeither (Philadelphia, PA) tallied a game-high five steals.
With the victory, the Lady Patriots improve to a 4-6 overall record.
