Shooting Woes Limit Lady Patriots' Performance

GLASSBORO, NJ – The Valley Forge Christian College women's basketball team couldn't overcome Rowan University on Thursday (Dec. 2), and fell, 49-69.

The Lady Patriots experienced their worst shooting performance of the season, as they shot just 23.9% from the field (16-for-67).  To compound matters, the Lady Patriots couldn't capitalize on second chance opportunities, as Rowan would dominate the boards.  The Rowan Lady Profs out-rebounded the Lady Patriots, 48-35.

Sophomore Amanda Reich led the Lady Patriots in scoring with 11 points.  Reich also earned six rebounds.

Freshman Shawneal McKeither tallied 10 points and a game-high six steals.

Sophomore Amanda Compton finished with a team-high seven rebounds.  Compton also tallied three steals.

Aliyah Carr and Vanity Jones each recorded three assists.

The Lady Patriots next game is against Trinity Washington University on Saturday (Dec. 4).
