In Spetember 2019, Richard (Rick) Osberg was announced Head Men's Golf Coach. Osberg will be the 5th head golf coach in program history.
Tasked with reconstructing a program from the foundation, Osberg brings immense experience as he has worked for three premier private golf clubs as the Head Golf Professional and Director of Golf. Throughout his time at each respected club, Osberg has been responsible for operating a pro shop, hiring and training staff, teaching both individuals and groups, coordinating tournaments and outings, club repair, the oversight of golf carts and the caddie program, as well as running successful junior golf programs at all three clubs.
In addition to his organizational expertise, Osberg has an inspiring amount of golfing accomplishments, winning over fifty Philadelphia section events during his career. Some of his professional endeavors include playing in the final stage of the PGA Tour Qualifier (1974, 1975, 1976, 2003, 2004), Pennsylvania PGA champion (1982), PGA championship (1984, 1985, 1989), Philadelphia PGA champion (1984, 1989, 1992), and Regional Senior Tour Qualifier (2003).
Osberg has been a valued member of the Philadelphia PGA Tournament Committee, Philadelphia PGA Junior Golf Committee, and a Philadelphia Junior Golf Academy Instructor.
