Gretchen LeVan MS, ATC, ATL

Gretchen LeVan was named University of Valley Forge's Director of Athletics in January 2017. LeVan was promoted to this position after serving as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for five years. In addition to being at the helm of the department, LeVan will enter her sixth season as Head Women's Basketball Coach during the 2017-2018 term.

LeVan is a 2009 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. Before attending the University of Pittsburgh, LeVan attended the University of Valley Forge (2003-2005), receiving an Associates of Art in Bible. LeVan then received her Masters in Exercise Science from Bloomsburg University in the spring of 2009. 

During her time at Valley Forge, LeVan was a two year starter on the women's basketball team. She led the team in both assists and steals, was named to the All-Region/All Conference 2nd Team and awarded UVF's Women's Basketball's Co-Most Valuable Player as well as the prestigious O.L. Harrup award her sophomore year. In addition to playing basketball, LeVan was also a two year starter for the women's soccer program receiving the most valuable player each of those seasons she participated. She still holds the career goals scored record with 24 goals scored in just 2 years of play. LeVan was a student-athlete who excelled athletically, academically and spiritually.
