The Pit

Nestled at the heart of the University of Valley Forge campus in Phoenixville, "The Pit" is our vibrant on-campus gymnasium. Hosting NCAA Division III and intramural basketball and volleyball, it serves as the central hub for our Patriots’ indoor athletics.

Full-size hardwood court with regulation hoops and clear sightlines—ideal for varsity games, practices, tournaments, and recreation.
Intimate bleacher seating, fostering a high-energy atmosphere where supporters feel close to the action—a fiercely competitive home-court advantage.
A dynamic multipurpose space, also accommodating intramurals, open gym, and reserve-able group fitness activities, with convenient operating hours (open most evenings and weekends) .

A beloved gathering place for students, faculty, and local fans—The Pit pulses with school pride on game nights, channeling UVF’s Patriot spirit.
